2. Applying that Language: Viewing E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial
3. Introduction of Storyboarding (to understand how film works and to begin the creation of students’ own films)
4. Lone Hero in Search of an Authentic Life: On the Waterfront, Rebel Without a Cause
5. War and Childhood: Life is Beautiful
6. Truth versus Reality: Big Fish
7. Choose Your Own Film: Each student’s discussion of segment of film in relation to the whole.
8. Final Project: Group films on idea of childhood: looking back at childhood as a young adult, coming of age theme.
