Ms. Cary Riker

Ms. Cary Riker is the head of the English department. She has a passion for literature and the craft of writing and strives to instill that same passion in her students. A competitive equestrian, she trains horses and gives horseback riding lessons to children and adults. Ms. Riker attended Johns Hopkins University, but left to pursue her interest in photography and film, receiving a BA in Film and Video Production from the Brooks Institute of Photography. She also has a BS in Arts and Letters from Portland State University and an MA in teaching English Language Arts at the secondary education level from Lewis and Clark Graduate School.
