Rabbi Yehuda Avner

Rabbi Yehuda Avner '13 grew up in Teaneck and attended Yeshivat Netiv Aryeh for two years following his graduation from TABC. He was a talmid of Rabbi Yaakov Neuburger at Yeshiva University and received his semicha from RIETS, where he was a member of the Katz Kollel and studied under Rav Herschel Schachter. Rabbi Avner completed a joint certificate program in mental health counseling through RIETS and the Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology. He is currently completing his MSW with a specialty in addiction counseling through the Wurzeiler School of Social Work at Yeshiva University. He and his wife Tamar live in Teaneck with their two daughters.
