Rabbi Yakov Grun

In addition to teaching and serving as the freshman grade dean, Rabbi Yakov Grun oversees TABC's legendary student life (alongside Rabbi Ezra Stone). From extra learning opportunities to mitzvah initiatives to coordinating the meaningful and relevant learning components of various student activities and shabbatonim, Rabbi Grun never misses an opportunity to infuse TABC's co-curricular programming with Torah. Rabbi Grun is a Yeshivat Shaalvim alumnus and a musmach of RIETS, where he was a member of the prestigious Kollel Elyon. Before joining TABC, Rabbi Grun taught at HANC High School (his alma mater) for eight years, and prior to that was a rebbe at Yeshivat Noam. He has taught engaging and inspiring shiurim at the highest level, giving weekly chaburas in Maharal at YU and shiurim to students at Yeshivat Torat Shraga while he attended the Gruss Kollel in Yerushalayim. Rabbi Grun is a big believer in experiential learning as a complement to classroom curriculum and brings a wealth of creativity and expertise to student life and religious life at our yeshiva.
