Rabbi Heshy Wieder
Rabbi Heshy Wieder was born in Bangor, Maine and grew up in Crown Heights and Flatbush. He graduated from Brooklyn College with a BS in Psychology, Adams State University with an MA Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction, and earned a STEM Teaching Certificate from NASA's Endeavour program. Serving as a paramedic for NYC-EMS stirred a passion for teaching science and biology and he started teaching science in the mid-1990s. In addition to teaching a senior anatomy elective at TABC, Rabbi Wieder is a biology teacher and the science department chair at YBH Passaic and was voted Non-Public School Teacher of The Year in 2015. Additionally, he has worked at CIJE as a mentor to schools and teachers on the eastern seaboard. Rabbi Wieder's Hobbies include river rafting, riding roller coasters, and playing LEGO with his grandchildren.
