Rabbi Steven Finkelstein
As Associate Principal, Rabbi Steven Finkelstein is a member of the senior educational administration. He works closely with the directors of TABC's guidance departments (including Israel Guidance and College Guidance), as well as with the grade deans of 9th and 10th grades in overseeing the full spectrum of academics and student life for TABC's underclassmen. Prior to his current role, Rabbi Finkelstein oversaw TABC's guidance department and was instrumental in building it into a proactive wing of the school that fosters a strong connection with students, parents, teachers, and the administration. He completed extensive training in cognitive behavioral therapy at the Beck Institute in Philadelphia and family therapy at the New Jersey Institute of Family Therapy. Over the years, Rabbi Finkelstein has been responsible for bringing a variety of programs for students, parents, and the community to TABC on topics including interpersonal relationships, building self-esteem, parenting strategies, coping with stress, positive decision-making, ethical dilemmas, time management, study skills, creating a system of positive values, and social skills.
