Rabbi Jonathan Kessel

Rabbi Jonathan Kessel graduated cum laude from Yeshiva University in 2002 and received his semicha from RIETS and masters in education from Azrieli. Prior to coming to TABC in 2017, he served on the Judaic studies faculty at MTA for ten years, teaching Gemara and Tanach to all grades. In addition, he served as an active Grade Dean, Ruach Coordinator, and Assistant Athletic Director. As one of the most sought-after rebbeim at TABC, Rabbi Kessel teaches Gemara and Halacha, as well as the popular senior Masmidim elective. Outside of formal education, Rabbi Kessel founded and manages a sports league in Passaic for elementary school-aged students as well as a flag football league in Teaneck. He is married to Rachel (Karlin) from Teaneck and has six children, with two sets of twins!
