Rabbi Sammy Bergman

Rabbi Sammy Bergman grew up in Elizabeth, New Jersey and attended the Jewish Educational Center. Rabbi Bergman studied in Yeshivat Sha’alvim and received his B.A. in Accounting from Yeshiva University. He then received his rabbinic ordination from the Rabbi Isaac Elchanan Theological Seminary, where he was a fellow of the Wexner Semicha Honors Program. After completing ordination, Rabbi Bergman taught at both Rambam Mesivta and North Shore Hebrew Academy High School. He has served as the Sgan (Assistant) Rosh Beit Midrash of the YU Torah MiTzion Beit Midrash in Toronto, the Assistant Rabbi of Shaarei Shomayim in Toronto, and currently serves as the Rabbi of the Young Israel of Fort Lee. Rabbi Bergman loves teaching Torah in an exciting and engaging way, and enjoys connecting with Talmidim in the classroom, while leading kumzitses on his guitar and while playing a good game of basketball. Rabbi Bergman and his wife Dr. Ahuva are the proud parents of their three children Miriam, Devorah, and Temimah.
